In our sermon today we will look at a man by the name of Shammah, if not for the two verses in our text today we would never have known about his boldness, his valor, his loyalty, or his heroic bravery.

Even in his day and time, this man Shammah may not have been known by many outside of his close knit group of men, but David knew him and the Lord knew him, which was more than enough.

You may be living your life in seeming obscurity but if you are standing in your pea patch and you are bravely defending it, you can be assured that the Lord is aware of what you are doing. The world needs more men and women that are likened unto this mighty man Shammah. We need believers that are not seeking the accolades of this world but that are defending their pea patches.
