- Everyone wants to be blessed, and to be blessed you have to be on blessing ground and we said that the prime real estate for blessing is - generosity. Because something Jesus said over and over was, ''It is more blessed to give than to receive''.

- Last week we dispelled the ''Myth of Mine'' buy learning that God owns everything and we are stewards who are expected to leverage all that we have for the pleasure of the true owner God.

- Today I want to introduce you to what is perhaps the most exciting aspect of generosity - spontaneous giving.

Have you ever consider the fact that - Your gift is someone else's miracle. You gift is someone else's answered prayer.

The NT is filled with stories where people gave spontaneously and it was always associated with a marvelous work of God.

- Zacceaus soon after he met Jesus he returned 4fold everything he had stolen - Jesus said - salvation has come to this house. Why? The love of money was broken.
- Mary, just before Jesus went to the cross poured out 300 dernerii worth of perfume on Jesus. That is the same as a year's wage - in our day it would be around 40K.

But, today I want to briefly show you a case study from the NT about what I call Spontaneous Generosity.?
CONTEXT: The story occurred during one of the high points in Jesus' ministry. 1,000's had left their homes and villages to follow this miracle working rabbi. At one point in the journey Matthew tells us
