Jesus Is I Am (12 of 32)
Series: John

John 8:48-59

Introduction: Often when we define the beginning of the church's mission we start with Matthew 28, with the commonly called ''Great Commission'': ''Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, as you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. You see, God did not need to create; making a world did not add anything to Him that He did not already have. But in creating God demonstrates His desire to share His glory. Thus, He creates a world that He may fill with His glory. This creative, missional act culminates with the creation of man and woman, whom He makes in His own ...
