Introduction
You know as we get going this morning, I need to first just say 'Thank You'. I need to thank you guys because I feel often like getting to come up here and talk with you all each Sunday morning is really therapeutic for me. You let me vent and complain about my crazy kids and it really helps. Now I realize that I won't always be able to do this. In a few years I imagine that the kids will reach an age where I can't talk about them anymore for fear of embarrassing them. Right? Like I just imagine Aiden's friends being like, ''Dude your dad is talking about you again to everyone.'' But they're young and clueless right now, so I better get it in while I can!
You see here's the thing that's been killing me recently, especially with Charlotte. All she will eat is chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Right, like the other night I had grilled steaks. Delicious, juicy, fresh medium-rare steaks. No, she wasn't interested, just wanted the cheap frozen chicken nuggets like always. And here's the real killer, like she doesn't even want Chick-Fil-a sauce with them! Right, I mean we do what everybody does and that is whenever we go to Chick-Fil-a we ask for like fourteen extra sauces and then we put them in Teresa's purse and bring them home. Well, Charley doesn't care; doesn't care how delicious Chick-Fil-a sauce is. She just wants plain old frozen chicken nuggets.
Man, we'll make chicken parmesan, fajitas, barbecue, baked chicken with cheese and bacon and honey mustard sauce. We'll have some truly delicious food, but nope, all she wants is cheap, flavorless chicken nuggets. And I get so frustrated by it, because I'm like, 'Sweetheart, you don't know what you're missing out on!' Instead, she has settled for this blah, not knowing what truly is out there for her.
