Daniel 6
Book of Daniel has some of most often told Bible stories. Stories that often told as kind of action and adventure. Surviving fiery furnace! Handwriting on wall. Facing off against lions! There is action in it of course. But I think even more it's a tragic story. As we come to chapter 6, Daniel is near end of his life. He's 85 years old. And what was noticeable about him was that, v.4, ''he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.''
Daniel involved in the kingdom at the highest level. He does it with integrity and faithfulness. This done in obedience to God. God's command to the exiles in Jeremiah 29:7 - But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find you ...
