Phi. 4:12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it
is to have plenty. I have learned THE SECRET OF BEING CONTENT in
any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether
living in plenty or in want.
I. "DO NOT WORRY!" WHY? WORRY IS:
1. UNFAITHFULNESS BECAUSE OF SERVING THE WRONG MASTER.
Mat. 6:24-25 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate
the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and
despise the other. YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MONEY.
Therefore I tell you, DO NOT WORRY about your life, what you
will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is
not LIFE more important than food, and the body more important
than clothes?
2. UNNECESSARY BECAUSE OF YOUR VALUE TO THE FATHER.
Mat. 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap
or store away in barns, and yet your HEAVENLY FATHER feeds them.
ARE YOU NOT MUCH MORE VALUABLE THAN THEY?
3. UNREASONABLE BECAUSE IT CHANGES NOTHING.
Mat. 6:27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his
life?
4. UNBELIEF BECAUSE IT DENYS THE FATHER'S PROVISION.
