WHO WE ARE... AND WHAT WE DO!

I. THE PEOPLE OF GOD: FAMILY AND FLOCK.
Characterized by praise and light!
I Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare
the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His
wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are
the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you
have received mercy.
Eph. 3:14-15 For this reason I kneel before the Father, from
whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
Psalm 100:3 Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us,
and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
II. THE BODY OF CHRIST: ALIVE , GROWING, AND EFFECTIVE.
Unity in purpose; diversity in function.
Romans 12:4-5 Just as each of us has one body with many
members, and these members do not all have the same function, so
in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs
to all the others.
Eph. 4:15-16 ... speaking the truth in love, we will in all
things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From
Him the whole body, joined and h ...
