I heard about a women's conference that began with the main speaker making a request. She opened by saying, ''The Bible teaches us to love our husbands.'' Then she asked, ''How long has it been since you told your husband that you loved him?''
The women sat in total silence. Then she asked every wife to take out their cellphones. ''Text your husband,'' she said. ''Tell them, 'I love you.''' Then she told them to exchange phones and read their replies to each other. And that's when pandemonium broke out!

Every Mother's Day I feel just a weep-bit of pressure. There's the pressure of preaching on a topic that I know nothing about, and there's also the pressure of trying to tell you how to do your job better. But the pressure I feel annually pales in comparison to the pressure today's mothers feel every day.
A lot of mother's face the daily pressure of higher expectations. Fifty years ago my Mom could yell, threaten, or rip a switch from a nearby tree and beat me within an inch of my life. You do that today and Child Welfare will be called!
I think mother's feel pressure for a variety of reasons! You work to help provide an income for the family, and then you feel guilty when you aren't there. Or you're a single Mom and there's no one in the batter's box to pinch hit for you when you grow tired.
