Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. NKJV

I also cannot imagine a more rebellious people than those that went into captivity when Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem and Judah in 586 B.C. And yet God still loved them with a love that only a loving Father could possess. Because of their sin the people would be in captivity for 70 years but God would bring them back. He never stopped loving them and always had a plan for their lives.
Occasionally things happen in life that may cause some of us to question God's love. This simple, single verse of Scripture gives us, as the people of God, great insight into how He feels about all those that belong to Him. Because of His holiness God cannot simply overlook our sin but He still loves us even during our times of rebellion.
Do you belong to God because of your faith in Christ? Then the issue is settled. No matter what happens to you in this life you can know that your heavenly Father loves you and will always have a perfect plan for your life.
Look at what we learn from Jeremiah 29:11 about how God feels about His people.
