1 Corinthians 15 - Ephesians 3

Day 337 December 3 - 1 Corinthians 15 and 16

This chapter answers many question as to the resurrection of the believer and the truthfulness of Christ's resurrection. If not for the resurrection of Jesus we would merely be reading about a good man. If not for his resurrection the very death of Christ would have been futile and foolish. Let us grasp this concept about the resurrection; we are talking about a physical resurrection, one where a body is literally raised from the dead. The gospel is not a list of rules and regulations, but a story of facts and fascination. The very gospel that we read about centers upon the birth, the life, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul was not preaching something someone had given him, but he was standing upon the truth that Jesus had given unto him. The gospel is very simple, yet so profound. It is a story about the death of a man and the bodily resurrection of that same man.

Point to Ponder

Paul tells us that Christ appeared unto the apostle Peter first and then to the other disciples at a later time. It says that he was seen of over 500 at one time but we do not know exactly when or where this occurred. If you cannot believe the facts of the gospel then you cannot be saved. It is impossible for a person to claim Christianity and to deny the facts of the gospel.
