Romans 8 - 1 Corinthians 14

Day 330 November 26 - Romans 8, 9, and 10

In chapter 8, we are allowed to see the beauty of sanctification and the eternal security of the believer. We realize the love of God for all of those that have trusted in the name of the Lord. It has been noted by many that this chapter is the high-watermark of Romans. The believer has no condemnation and no separation, and in the end all things work together for good, for those that love the Lord. The opening verses tell us that there is not any condemnation for those found in Christ Jesus. The day that you became a believer, your name was removed from the list of the condemned and placed in the book of the non-condemned. Previously Paul told us that he was a wretched man and that there was nothing good in him, but due to him being found in Christ, there was not any condemnation placed upon him or us.

Point to Ponder

The believer must conduct his life according to the spirit and not according to his flesh. If you do not possess the Holy Spirit then you are not a child of God. The line of demarcation is simple, the moment you become a Christian, at that very moment you are filled with the Spirit. The believer becomes a new person and we are not to cower in fear but walk a life of faith, which is driven by the Holy Spirit. It is comforting to know that the Holy Spirit will even make utterances to God on our behalf. Have you ever been in such a place that you were clueless as to what to pray, that is when the Spirit will help us.
