Day 302 October 29 - Luke 12 and 13
This may have been the peaking point of the earthly ministry of Jesus. The multitude of people that were bidding for his time and his touch, were beyond the point of accurately being measured. Jesus was healing people in massive amounts and the throng was almost out of control. It was at this point and time that Jesus begin to teach about leaven and hypocrisy.
Point to Ponder
Martin Luther coined the phrase ''Fear God and you won't have to fear anyone else.'' Jesus also told the throng to place their fear in the proper place. If they would live with a reverential fear for God everything else will fall into place.

Point to Ponder
We live in an age of judging and misperception. I am shocked at how easily some within the church can judge a fellow believer. When we judge another person, we are most likely envious of them or we do not like them. I am of the persuasion that I have a hard enough time in dealing with my own life than I am in judging others. Jesus makes it very clear that most people that are judgmental are vindictive and jealous. The church of our age is filled with hypocrisy, jealousy, and envy.
Point to Ponder
The true blue believer will abandon those areas of being judgmental, jealous, and consumed with envy or hatred. I am not sure how one can go to the house of God and sit silently, with a spirit of envy, jealousy, and hypocrisy. We must not set ourselves up to be spiritual, if we allow those things within our hearts and in our daily lives. These things must be eliminated and destroyed. We should prayerfully consider eli ...
