Music? Swimming? Tennis? Golf? Dance? Lambada? Cooking? Horseback Riding? Public Speaking? Scuba? Underwater basket weaving?
Who has taken lessons on relationship?
How to love? How to be kind? Kindness is… Love in action. Two words used for kindness in the NT. One means "Good toil." Another means "to furnish what is needed." Kindness is good toil to give people what they need!
Are you a people builder?
If a child lives with…
...Critisism, he learns to condemn.
...Hostility, he learns to fight.
...Fear, he learns to be apprehensive.
...Pity, he learns to feel sorry for himself.
...Jealousy, he learns to feel guilty.
...Encouragement, he learns to be confident.
...Tolerance, he learns to be patient.
...Praise, he learns to be appreciative.
...Approval, he learns to like himself.
...Recognition, he learns to have a goal.
...Fairness, he learns to be just.
...Honesty, he learns truthfulness.
...Sincerity, he learns to be real.
...Kindness, he learns to love.
What are people learning from you? A sad story of someone who didn't learn how to love:
We went to church but it was all appearances. When we got home there was nothing different. There was no real love and acceptance, just control games. We didn't talk about differences. We pretended everything was alright. We were not allowed to show our real feelings. It was a lifestyle of denial that anything was wrong. I never was taught that I had any importance in myself. I was there simply to be what they wanted me to be.
