OBEDIENT CHILDREN DO NOT CONFORM TO THIS WORLD!
EVIL DESIRES (LUSTS) a longing (especially for what is
forbidden):
WE LIVE BEHIND ENEMY LINES IN A WAR ZONE.
THE WORLD SYSTEM IS NOT FRIENDLY TO FOLLOWERS OF JESUS!
EXPECT DIFFICULTY! TROUBLE! JOHN 16:33.
"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have
overcome the world."
PERSECUTION? YES. TEMPTATION? YES.
I. "THE WORLD" OPPOSES GOD AND APPEALS TO PLEASURE & PRIDE.
JOH 12:31 ... now the prince of this world will be driven out.
John 15: 18 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated
Me first."
I John 2:16-17 For everything in the world - the cravings of
sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has
and does -comes not from the Father but from the world.
