I. WHICH ADJECTIVE BEST DECRIBES YOU? RICH? YOUNG? RULER(IMPT!)?

"RAN", IN A HURRY! LIFE IN THE FAST LANE, LOOKING FOR A SHORT
CUT, A MOUNTAIN CALLED "RUSHMORE", TO WHERE? REFLECTION?

Mark 10:17 As Jesus started on his way, a (rich, young, ruler)
man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good
teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"


II. WHO DO YOU SAY JESUS IS? SON OF GOD OR JUST A "GOOD" MAN?

vs. 18 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is
good--except God alone.

Jesus said to call Him "good" meant to identify Him with God! To
address Him as such meant sober consequences to what Jesus said!
Otherwords, don't ask me such a question just to get another
opinion! Who do you believe I am? C.S. Lewis said that Jesus is
the divine Son of God, or a liar, lunatic or devil from hell. He
is eithe who He said He is and what the Scriptures affirm, or
out of his mind. He is not merely a "good" man with religious
teachings!


III. WHO DO YOU SAY YOU ARE? POWERFUL, PROSPEROUS, PRESTIGEOUS
OR POOR?

"Good teacher," he asked, "what must I DO to inherit eternal
life?"
DEMANDED JUSTICE!


The ultimate optimist, type A go getter...where everything
seemed possible! He could make it happen! Nothing was outside
