WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
HE IS GOD. CO-EQUAL WITH THE FATHER AND THE SON.
NOT AN IMPERSONAL POWER OR FORCE...BUT ETERNAL GOD!
WHAT DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT DO?
1. REGENERATION / THE ORIGIN OF NEW LIFE IN A BELIEVER.
JOH 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter
the kingdom of God unless he is BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT.
JOH 16:8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in
regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:
JOH 16:9 in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me;
JOH 16:10 in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the
Father, where you can see me no longer;
JOH 16:11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this
world now stands condemned.
2. THE SPIRIT INDWELLS / SEALS / AND BAPTIZES ALL IN CHRIST.
1CO 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple
and that God's SPIRIT lives in you?
1CO 12:13 For we were ALL baptized by one SPIRIT into one
body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all
given the one Spirit to drink.
3. THE SPIRIT IS THE PERSONAL PRESENCE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES.
JOH 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another Counselor to be with you forever-- THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH.
The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor
knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be
IN you.
4. THE SPIRIT IS THE TEA ...
