JESUS WENT

MAT 9:35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the
kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

I. "JESUS WENT."

HE DID NOT SET UP SHOP AND WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO COME TO HIM.

NEITHER ARE WE!

MAT 5:13 "You are the SALT OF THE EARTH. But if the salt loses
its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer
good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.


MAT 5:14 "You are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city on a hill
cannot be hidden.

JOH 20:21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! AS THE FATHER
HAS SENT ME, I AM SENDING YOU."

WE ARE TO BE SALT AND LIGHT IN THE WORLD - MARKETPLACE, NOT JUST
IN THE CHURCH.

WHOEVER WENT TO A FOOTBALL GAME TO LOOK AT A HUDDLE? NO! IT'S
THE PLAY. WHAT IS YOUR PLAY TO BE SIGNIFICANT FOR CHRIST IN THE
WORLD?

JESUS WENT WHERE THE PEOPLE WERE THAT NEEDED HIM. WE ARE TO GO
FOR GOD.

THE PRINCIPLE OF AVAILABILITY! AT GOD'S DISPOSAL! A WILLING
SERVANT.


II. JESUS MINISRTY WAS TO THE WHOLE PERSON: TEACHING, PREACHING,
HEALING.

PEOPLE OPEN THEIR LIVES TO CHRIST AND HIS KINGDOM BECAUSE OF
PERCEIVED NEEDS IN THEIR LIVES! THEY MAY COME BECAUSE OF ANOTEHR
NEED THAT THEY PERCEIVE OTHER THAN THEIR LOSTNESS TO GOD. JESUS
WAS WILLING TO MEET PEOPLE AT THE POINT OF THEIR NEED, SERVE
THEM BY TEACHING, PREACHING, OR HEALING, AND THEN TELL THEM THE
TRUTH ABOUT THE WHOLE PICTURE.
