Wedding Homily: What the Lord Requires
Marion Clark
Micah 6:6-8

6 ''With what shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with? thousands of rams,

the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?''
8 He has told you, O man, what is good;

but to do justice, and to love kindness,?
and to walk humbly with your God?

We live for the Lord. Our whole lives are lived in his service even to the point of dying for him. Now then, why? Why does Christ receive such full-hearted devotion?

So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

To put it simply, we belong to him. He has a claim on us. And how did he take this position?

9 For to this end Christ died and live ...
