Series: Real Talk

Colossians 1:9-20
Do you know someone who is a straight-talker? They will never mince words. They speak their mind. They can be tough to listen to, but at least you always know where they are coming from as they will tell you! I think everyone needs someone like this in their life - to help you see the areas of your life that you miss and others miss as well (or they just don't tell you!).
Paul is one of those straight talkers. Which makes his letters to churches so powerful. He gives real talk, no mincing of words, you know where he's coming from. Colossians is one of those letters written to a church, with real issues being dealt with. From what you believe, to family relationships, to conflict, a proper view of who Jesus is, and much more! So, go ahead and take out your bibles, notes, and get ready!

As with many of the towns in Asia Minor at this time, cults flourished with worship of various created things, angels included, and some religions had potentially picked up aspects of Judaism and mixed them together, creating some confusion for new converts to Christianity. It is into this that Paul writes his le ...
