Luke 23:43

They went back and forth arguing and giving each other reasons why they felt it should go to them. The older brother said to the younger brother, ''I should get the first pancake because I do more chores, and I have more responsibilities around the house.''
The younger said, no! I should get the first pancake because I am smarter in school, I help you with your homework, get better grades, and I am smarter than you. This exchange went back and forth, on and on with several reasons why the first pancake should be theirs.
Finally, the mother thought that this was a teachable moment, it was a wonderful opportunity to teach them about something along the faith lines, along with the biblical lines that she was trying to instill in them daily anyway.
So, she said, ''if Jesus was sitting was here right now, he would say, let my brother have the first pancake! That is what Christ would say! There was a quietness that fell upon the room, and there was a look on each of their faces that represented some sense of childish humility and regret that they had been so arguing about who should get the first pancake. Then the older brother spoke up, mom is right, if Jesus were here, he would say, let my brother have the first pancake. He says, hey little brother, you get to be Jesus today!

To be like Christ means to take upon yourself the virtues and values that Christ displayed.
