Today we begin a little three-part Easter series called 'True Love'. Jesus, of course, is True Love. The evidence of that is revealed in everything He did for us, especially the last week of His life.

- Today, we're gonna talk about His true love for us revealed by being 'Rejected for Us'.

- Friday--Good Friday service-- the Lord's Supper-we'll see His love in being 'Broken for Us'.

- Then on Easter morning we will rejoice in His love in that He was 'Raised for Us'.

Today begins what is traditionally known as 'Holy Week'. It is a time when Christians all over the world set aside to remember the bold march of Jesus into Jerusalem where He would be rejected by Jews, abandoned by His disciples, crucified by the Romans, mourned by His followers, resurrected by His Father, seen by hundreds, and worshipped by those who believed in Him.

Holy Week begins with what we call 'The Triumphal Entry'. We're going to see it was tearful than triumphal, but Jesus' hour had finally come to give His life as a ransom for sinners. He enters Jerusalem on a donkey Sunday to the cheers of thousands of people, but by Friday He will be despised by men and nailed to a cross. Jesus' entry into Jerusalem was such a powerful, pivotal moment that every Gospel writer wrote about it. Today, we're going to focus on how Luke presents it to us. So, let's open our bibles to Luke 19:28-48. (READ)

In these verses, we are given three distinct pictures or perspectives that reveal who Jesus really is. But the people refuse to believe He is any of them, and that leads to their rejection of Him. You see, ultimately who you believe Jesus is dictates what your response to Him will be.

If you think He was just a good man...you might try to follow His example.

If you think He was just a good teacher...you might study His words and try to heed His advice.

If you think He was just a misguided religious leade ...
