I spend a large portion of every week reading and writing, so words interest me a great deal.

Every year I look forward to reading the list of official new words that have been added to the English dictionary. I find it fascinating to see a word that didn't exist or wasn't recognized in our vocabulary before and now it is. As I'm reading the list of new words I like to try and guess the meaning of the word before I read the official definition of it.

I thought it might be fun this morning to give you some of the newer English words of our vocabulary and give you an opportunity to guess what they mean. Ok? You up for it?

Phonesia: I thought phonesia might be when you put your phone somewhere and you can't remember for the life of you where you put it. When you forget the location of your phone, you have phonesia. But no, that's not quite it. The real definition of phonesia is...

The act of dialing a phone number and forgetting whom you were calling just as they answer.

Disconfect: The attempt to sterilize a piece of candy you dropped on the floor by blowing on it.

Parents have been doing this for years, but we've called it the five second rule, right? If it's on the ground less than five seconds, it's still clean and perfectly fine to eat. Who cares that you have a dog, 2 cats, and a husband with a foot fungus living there...just blow your sterilizing breath on it and pop it into your kids mouth. If anyone complains you can say, ''It's fine. I disconfected it''.

Blamestorming: This is gonna come in handy for you leaders and managers out there. Instead of brainstorming, do some blamestorming. Sitting in a group and discussing who's responsible for the company's problems, rather than trying to solve them. Some of you are thinking, ''Now that's something I can do because finger pointing is my spiritual gift.'' Hahaha! One more...
