1.0 The Bible is Real and Authentic!
1.1 God does not hide the dirty laundry in His church or with His leaders.

A) Peter was quite a colorful character.
1. He was a Jewish fisherman who had left everything to follow Jesus.
2. He was quite opinionated and very vocal about everything. He was a natural born leader with a Type-A personality.
3. Peter was one of the original twelve apostles and had a significant portion of ministry at the first church-the Church of Jerusalem.
B) Peter was struggling with prejudice and ignorance regarding how to function in a Multiethnic Church-the Antioch church.
Facts About Antioch
(1) The City of Antioch was situated in Syria, on the river Orontes, about 16 miles from the Mediterranean, and some 300 miles north of Jerusalem. It is modern day South East Turkey.
(2) Importance-Antioch ranked third, after Rome and Alexandria, in point of importance, of the cities of the Roman Empire. It was called the ''first city of the East.''
(3) People-Antioch was an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse city. It attracted diversity because of commerce and because it provided for a decent living.
2.0 Three Practices Required in the Multiethnic Church:
2.1 Be ACCEPTING. Gal. 2:11-13.
A) Acceptance of others is seen when you connect socially across ethnic lines.
1. The church was always intended to be ethnically diverse. Jesus said that: ''My house will be called a house of prayer for ALL nations'' (Mk. 11:17).
Rev. 7:9-''After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.''
2. God wants a multiethnic family, which means multiethnic churches must be developed and maintained.
