The Resurrection Factor

Matthew 28:1-15

Jesus is alive! Did you know that ''Jesus is alive?!'' That is my message today. Here's the story. (Read Text) That last line is telling, ''this story has been spread...to THIS DAY.''

As your heart beats and sends blood to every part of your body giving you life, so the resurrection of Jesus sends power to the heart of your soul and brings life to you. To take away the resurrection is to leave us with nothing!!

If Jesus died and never resurrected, then his last words of ''It is finished'' means 'game over.'

If Jesus is still in the ground, we are 'of all men most miserable' because we have no hope.

But we do have hope because Jesus not only came back from the grave He lives today. And it is His resurrection that has changed all of mankind for all of eternity. Its effects are vast.

This is the story that God had in His mind since before time began. In the Garden, He had uttered these words just after the fall of mankind, ''I'll send one who will CRUSH the heel of Satan.'' The Resurrection did just that. Let's Consider the resurrection with me and the affects it had. We'll take it in 4 bites.

The Problem with the Resurrection - Consider the problems with the resurrection. 3 words.

Anticipation - as in, 'who was anticipating the resurrection? ...
