Psalms 66- Psalms 95

Day 176 June 25 - Psalms 66, 67, 68, and 69

The nation of Israel has not been fully united in their land or in possession of their land for many long years but that will change during the Millennium. The little nation has forever been surrounded by blood thirsty enemies, but when God sets up his kingdom on this earth the Jews will be allowed to possess their land and to sing their song of deliverance. It seems that there have always been wicked men with a thirst to destroy God's chosen people. Abraham was minding his own business when God placed the call upon him to head towards Canaan and it was not his choice to make a nation of Jews, it was the Lords. The Jews have more often than not been a rebellious group of people but there will be a better day in the future and they will chase after God wholeheartedly.

Point to Ponder

One of these days Christ will sit upon his throne and he will judge the nations of this world. We have never witnessed a world ruler that will lead and judge from pure holiness and righteousness. When the Kingdom of God is set up, the entire world can be blessed because Israel is safely dwelling in their allotted land. God gave them their land and in the future he will see that they get every foot of that chosen land.

I - The Song's of the Kingdom (Psalms 66, 67, and 68)

II - The Silence of the King (Psalm 69)

Point to Ponder

In chapter 68 we see the King in his wondrous glory and mighty power. Upon his standing every enemy will have to flee. It will be a beautiful scenario to see mankind singing forth praises to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Upon the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ he emptied out that place called Paradise and took all of the Old Testament saints to heaven and then he gave spiritual gifts to every member of his body, the church.
