Question: On a scale of 1 to 10, how are you doing in
your prayer life?
Are you consistent and regular in praying?

Do you have daily quiet time alone with God? (Or do
you find yourself being a little haphazard in prayer,
and allowing other things to crowd prayer out of your
life?)

Do you feel like you are growing in your prayer life,
or do you feel like you have stagnated. You have
reached a certain plateau and not grown much beyond
that.

When you pray does your mind wonder and drift off to
other things?

Is praying an obligation and a chore, or do you find
it a time of refreshing fellowship with the Lord.

How many of your prayers are getting answered?


Wherever you are on that scale of 1 to 10, I wonder if
you would like to move to the next level today?

Would you be willing to do whatever it takes to
ratchet up your effectiveness in praying?


Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of
prayer; but you have made it into a den of thieves."
(Mt.21:13)

NOTE: You'll remember that Jesus had entered the
temple court and saw the market atmosphere, where the
religious leaders were gouging the people in selling
sacrificial animals and in their exchange rates of
Roman coinage for the required Jewish coinage to pay
temple tax. So the Jews were doing something they
should not have been doing and it infuriated Jesus.


NOTE: But just maybe what infuriated Jesus the most
was not the WRONG THING THEY WERE DOING.... Maybe Jesus
was more upset over THE RIGHT THING THEY WERE NOT
DOING.
