We are currently in an incredible study of the names of God, where we are discovering week by week that every name He bears is a blessing that He shares.

So here's what happened. Whenever the Israelites would find themselves in trouble, with their backs up against the wall, God would step in and reveal a new name to them. And the name He gave them, would reveal something about His nature. And do you know what those names would give them? It gave them the same thing they give us: peace in the midst of the storm, assurance in times of affliction, direction in times of difficulty, hope in times of hopelessness, certainty in times of uncertainty, strength in times of struggle.

Trouble or a crisis would come. God would reveal a new name to them revealing something new about His nature. They would then look at their situation and say, ''YES! I CAN make it through this!! I CAN push through this even though the odds are against me because of my God!! With my God, nothing is impossible.''

As Moses found himself in a crisis of belief just three days after leading the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground! Just three days!

We read in Exodus 15.22-24, ''And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.. Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying 'What shall we drink?''

After crying out to the LORD, the LORD showed him a tree and Moses threw it into the waters and the water was made sweet. It was during that water crisis and cure that God reveals more of His nature to them in verse 26, ''If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptian ...
