Our God is the God of abundance. He is the El Shaddai - the God who is Almighty and All-sufficient. The God who is MORE THAN ENOUGH! He owns everything and everything we have comes from Him and belongs to Him. Until you get that principle in your life, you will always be seeing what you have as your own. It all belongs to Him and we are just STEWARDS of it. A STEWARD is a MANAGER of someone else's property. And He desires to bless you with the abundance that He already possesses.

So here is what we can establish before we talk about abundance:

1. God owns it all

2. We belong to Him

3. All we have is already His

4. We are stewards of His property

5. He desires to bless us abundantly

God owns it all

Psalm 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

We belong to Him

He created you, He knows you, He loves you, He cares about what you're going through right now. If we are His, we must learn how to give ourselves to Him completely. Like the old song said,

I'm yours Lord, Everything I've got,

Everything I am, Everything I'm not.

I'm yours Lord, Try me now and see,

See if I can be Completely yours.

Some of you need to learn how to give yourselves completely to Him. You are His. And He loves you and accepts you right where you are. What are we really holding onto by not giving ourselves to Him? Let Him have you. Let Him have all of you! In order for there to be an ABUNDANCE in your life, we first must relinquish control, surrender all, and release ourselves into His hands. Giving Him ALL OF YOU is the first step in receiving ALL HE HAS for you!

Even in the New Testament, when Paul had written to the Corinthian church, he praised the church in Macedonia because they gave to the work there, but they FIRST gave themselves to the Lord.
