Theme: “Putting your fears away to save a soul”
In our sermon today we are going to see that the Jews in the days of Mordecai and Esther were under an eleven month death sentence. Time would be swiftly running and something had to be done. It was not enough to be in despair over the situation or to even shed tears about their impending death, someone had to stand up for the Jews and something had to be done.
I was reading as to why people do not win souls and the greatest reason is they are fearful of being rejected. When it comes to the matter of life and death, the idea of someone rejecting us plays little importance to that person dying and going to hell. The issue is that we think there will be more time or that someone else will witness to them, but what if that does not happen, what then? I came across the following story and it should shake us to the core. This story shows us why we cannot settle for being rejected or to wait.
The following story is true, as told by Dr. R. B. Ouellette:
Psalm 9:17 still says, “The wicked shall be turned into Hell and all the nations that forget God.” Revelation 21:8 still says those without Christ will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.
