Isaiah 9:6

Two years ago Kristen Howell told me about a new show on TV called Better Late Than Never. Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman, Henry Winkler, William Shatner are the stars, and they spent their first season in Asia; this year they're in Europe.

It's kind of like Seinfeld; it's a show about nothing. I think it's hilarious; Christie thinks it's the ''stupidest show on TV!'' But she watched episode No. 4 with me the other night and we discovered that Henry Winkler speaks fluent German. He can also karaoke in German (but he's not much of a dancer).

Winkler's parents escaped Nazi Germany before the holocaust and he wanted to find his parent's neighborhood. The whole group visited the Berlin Wall and Winkler's children arranged for them to discover the street where his family lived. It was a really emotional scene! Winkler sobbed while reading the letter from his children and then he fell to his knees and began saying, ''OMG.'' I can't even speak those words because it violates the third commandment and my parents might listen to this online. But Winkler said it over and over again.

We're in a series called Who Is Jesus - and we're highlighting some of his major attributes. In Hebrews 1 he's the Greatest Teacher. In Hebrews 4 he's the Great Empathizer. In Matthew 20 he's the Model of Greatness. Originally I was gonna cover Hebrews 7; ''He's Our Great High Priest.'' But after that episode of Better Late Than Never in Germany, I changed my plans.

I'm concerned that our language has become too lax, especially when it comes to the Godhead. There's an Old Testament prophecy I'd like to review reminding us that Jesus Is the Name Above All Names.
