INTRODUCTION: When you boil down Jesus' teachings (particularly in Mark)... You find that Jesus is presenting us with two paths... Two ways of living.

- The way of living that leads to death.

- The way of living that leads to life.

He calls this ''way that leads to life'' his kingdom.

- It seems like a simple choice... I'll follow Jesus on the path of life.
- But as you read through the gospels, you find that very few are willing to walk this path.

- In fact, Jesus says, ''path to life=narrow--few will find it. Path to destruction=wide--many will find it.''

So what gives? Why do so many people find it so difficult to walk the path of God's kingdom?

- Last week, we saw the Rich Young Ruler who failed to embrace this way of Jesus, because of his love for his money.

- He couldn't walk freely on the path to life... Because he was trying to drag his heavy bags of money with him... Jesus says, ''you can't do that.''

The path to life is narrow... Few will find it... But what is the path?

- Die to yourself. Destroy your selfish ambition. Be a servant. Have faith like a little child.

- Jesus summed it up fully like this: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength... Love your neighbor as yourself.

Seems simple... yet very few have demonstrated what this looks like.

- But today, we will see a simple woman. Display great faith. Great

love for God. Embody the way of Jesus; kingdom.

- She will serve as an example... Of what it looks like to worship God. And walk on the path to life.
