INTRO: Take your Bibles now this morning and be finding your place at Jude verse 8. If you're our guest on this Mother's Day morning we've been working our way, verse-by-verse, through this third smallest book in the New Testament named Jude.

This morning we come to verse 8 where Jude continues identifying these apostates with these words of warning, ''Likewise also these dreamers...''

Q - How many of you had a dream last night?
How many of you can remember what you dreamed? (A lot of times I wake up in the morning and I know that I dreamed during the night, but I can't remember what I dreamed.)

Silly Dreams

ILLUS: A boy was having a lot of difficulty in French class. To encourage him, his teacher said, ''You'll know you're really beginning to get it when you start dreaming in French.'' The boy ran into class all excited one day, saying, ''Teacher, teacher! I had a dream last night and everyone was talking in French!'' ''Great!'' said the teacher; ''what were they saying?'' ''I don't know,'' the boy replied; ''I couldn't understand them.''

ILLUS: Small church was having children's time during the service where all the children come forward and the Children's Director was talking about dreams. ''I used to have bad dreams when I was a child, and sometimes I still have bad dreams. For example, I dreamed last night that I blew up Pastor John's house.'' Little girl raised her hand. ''My mamma always told me that if you didn't have bad thoughts, you wouldn't have bad dreams.''

Strange Dreams

ILLUS: One of my recurring dreams through the years is being on the stage, just about to preach, when I realize I'm wearing a shirt, tie, coat - and a pair of orange swimming trunks.

Beginning in verse 8, Jude begins to tell us about the satanic dreams, the vile visions, of these apostates.

Now, don't forget what an apostate is.
