THE FIRST FALSE RELIGION
Dr. Rick E. Ferguson

Genesis 4:1-15
The book of Genesis is the book of
beginnings. In the book of Genesis the universe
finds its beginnings mankind finds his beginning.
Everything wonderful and good, created by God,
finds its beginning in Genesis.

The book of Genesis not only records the
beginning of all that is wonderful and good, it
also records the beginning of all that is vile and
evil. Genesis records Satan's seduction Eve,
Adam's fall to sin,the introduction of chaos
and lawlessness to the world, and the curse of God upon sin.

Genesis records the very first family dispute and
the very first murder. Did you know that the
first murder that ever took place occurred as the
result of a domestic squabble?

Genesis also records the birth of the very
First false human religion. It is important for
us to read and understand the first false
religion, because human society is inundated by
false human religions. Every false religion that
exists today is a descendent of the first false
religion of Cain. Every false religion that
exists today bears the basic characteristics of
Cain's first false religion

first false religion. The New Test
Jude calls it "the way of Cain." (Jude 11)
