Tears In A Bottle

Psalm 56:8

When I was a boy -- I remember going out with my parents to a restaurant to eat. They would always order coffee. At that time, I didn't drink coffee, but I always liked it when the waitress would bring the coffee, accompanied by a little miniature bottle of cream. My brother and I would always reach for that little bottle and drink the cream.

Recently, I was in a small antique store and the owner had just returned from the Middle East. While there -- he acquired a small little bottle, about the size of that little bottle of cream, though it was shaped differently -- and he told me that it dated back during the life of Jesus and it was called a "tear bottle."

The young woman would then proceed to wash the feet of her man with her tears.
