Donald Cantrell
Exodus 13-29
Week 4 Day 22 - Exodus 13, 14, and 15
Upon leaving Egypt the Jews take up the body of Joseph and pack him up for the journey to the Promised Land. He had been embalmed for over 400 years and his dying words to his family were that when he died he was not to be buried in Egypt but to exit Egypt with the Jews as they left for Canaan. This may have been one of the longest funerals the world has ever witnessed. The embalmed body of Joseph would have been a reminder that one day they were going to march out of Egypt.

This memorial was to be passed down from generation to generation as a reminder of the goodness and greatness of God.
