INTRODUCTION
In 2003, Alan Ralsky... an entrepreneur made himself a small fortune by collecting people's information online, then selling that information to other business that would send out spam email.
- When The Detroit News ran a story on Ralsky's business.... And his 8,000sq ft home. Lavish lifestyle... People became angry, and sought revenge.
- Someone found his home address.... And gave it to everyone they knew....
- Signed him up for junk mail (Credit cards, catalogs, advertising campaign, etc...)
- The result? Ralsky began receiving over 200lbs per day of junk mail. Revenge can be sweet.
Sometimes revenge isn't so funny, though.
Illus. Count of Monte Cristo
- Edmund Dante . . . spending life in prison, after being falsely accused of treason by his friends.
- Becomes consumed with enacting revenge.
- While in Prison, he becomes friends with an old disgraced priest. The priest educates him in language, culture... And gives him the coordinates of a secret and large treasure.
- Dante eventually escapes prison... Finds the treasure. And reestablishes himself as a wealthy and powerful person.
- He uses this new identity and resources to seek vengeance.
''I regret now,'' said [the priest], ''having helped you in your late inquiries, or having given you the information I did.''
''Why so?'' inquired Dantès.
''Because it has instilled a new passion in your heart-that of vengeance.''
Later in the story, as Dante's revenge tour is on the move....

- [H]e felt he had passed beyond the bounds of vengeance, and that he could no longer say, ''God is for and with me.''
Unforgiveness.... Bitterness... Revenge... Is a dangerous thing, because it will consume us and poison our hearts.
