DISPLAYING GOD'S GRACE AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT

Ephesians,(6-17

In our study of Ephesians 5 we have discovered that
this chapter deals with certain areas of our lives in which
we are to display the wonderful grace of God. Whether
we like it or not, our lives serve as display windows,
so to speak, to a lost world--showing what the grace
of God can do. We either live in a way that causes
others to want what we have, or we live in a way that
says to the world that God does not make any difference
in your life.

Ephesians 5 deals with the nuts and bolts of how
to live in a way that causes people to want to come
to the Lord. It is a "how to" chapter. It gives us some
very practical tips on do's and dont's in the Christian
life. Last week we heard from Paul on some things
we are not to do as Christians. Tonight he will share
some things we are to do in order to reveal the Lord
Jesus to others.

Tonight we will learn that we must live and walk
as children of light, if we are going to display God's
grace to a lost world. Paul will teach us how to walk
as children of light. This is so important for us to under-
stand, because we live in a world of spiritual darkness.
The world needs the light of the Lord, and that light
is revealed to them through the lives of the Lord's people.
Therefore, if we want to display the grace of the Lord
to the world, we must live as children of light.
