Ecclesiastes 7

INTRODUCTION:

Last week, I had the privilege of chaperoning a field trip with the kids here at HSTAT
Brian Mueller's computer software students. We took the students to The Squarespace offices. SS is one of the fastest growing tech companies in the US right now. For a group of kids who have ambitions to be computer engineers. This was a dream. The kind of place they dream to work at. So... At the end of the tour when they had QandA with some of the top engineers, they were dialed in.... They were listening... Why? Because these people have accomplished everything they hope accomplish in their futures... So they wanted to listen.

In the book of Ecclesiastes, we have King Solomon... Who has accomplished and experienced anything/everything we could ever hope to accomplish. Success... Wealth... Popularity... Influence... He was an artist (created great works)...

One of the most successful individuals to ever live on this planet... And the book of Ecclesiastes is him offering his wisdom to us. So it would be wise for us to pay attention to what he says.

This morning, we are looking at ch. 7. This is a confusing chapter. Because it really doesn't have a single point. Almost as if he has already told us about his experiment... Where he tested pleasure... Now he is bringing other random things up... ''Oh yeah, and another thing.''
Wisdom sayings. Not necessarily connected to one another.
