Michael J. Fox made his mark in Hollywood playing the role of Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties. But, he's best known as Marty McFly in the Sci-Fi trilogy, Back to the Future. With the aid of his flux capacitor he accidentally drove Doc Browns' DeLorean's thirty years into the past.

In real life, however, Michael J. Fox has faced all kinds of adversity. At the age of 29 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Several years ago Fox made an appearance on late-night TV and the host asked an intriguing question: ''If you could meet anyone in history, who would you choose?'' Fox replied, ''Jesus.''

An awkward pause followed, and then Fox explained himself:

''He is an amazing character. Whether you believe exactly what the Bible says about him or not, you cannot deny that Jesus has had a positive impact on history.''

Whether you are a believer or a skeptic, no one can question the impact of Jesus on history. He's the most influential person who has ever lived! We pray in his name, worship in his name, commune in his name, and gather in his name. Even those who don't believe receive medical care, food, clothing, shelter, and education in his name

These acts of compassion take place because we are committed to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:20) which includes the line, ''Make disciples and baptize them into His Name.'' More good is done is his name than any other name on earth! And while the world takes his name in vain, we are doing our best to change the world, one life at a time, in his name!
