Introduction: On this day we have set aside to recognize and honors
or Moms, I would like to begin a brand new sermon series entitled
“FAMILY SURVIVAL IN THE 21ST CENTURY.” I hope you will
make a special attempt to be in church for the next 7 to 8 weeks as we
go to the scripture to find truths, principles and directions for
strengthening the family and helping your family survive and flourish
against all odds in the 21st Century.

It is very appropriate that we begin this special message series on
Mother’s Day. And it is very appropriate that the first message be a
word of encouragement and hope to our Moms. I mean after all, none
of us would be here were it not for our Moms...right? So lets take a
moment to read a familiar passage of scripture that is often quoted and
read as a tribute to that very special person we call “Mom.” Proverbs
31 is a passage of scripture that was originally spoken ... (by a Mom

10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than
rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and
portions for her servant girls.
16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a
