What we are beginning tonight, I believe, will forever change your reading and understanding of the Word of God! You will not be able to read your Bible the same after this series of studies.

In fact, this study is going to take us from Genesis to Revelation. Now don't panic! We're not starting a study tonight of every book of the Bible. Dr. Criswell did that, years ago, soon after he became the pastor of FBC Dallas, Texas.

It took him 17 years and 8 months! In his book ''Why I Preach that the Bible is literally True'' he tells that during that time he heard new church members talking to one another one day. One said, ''You know, I joined the church in Isaiah.'' While the other man said, ''I joined in 2 Timothy.''

Well tonight and for the next several weeks we're going to be thinking under the heading: What a Wonderful Name, as we learn about The Names of God. Here's what we're going to discover in this series of messages: Every name that He bears is a blessing that He shares!

Let me say that as we begin this series together you not only will want to be here every week, but you will want to bring with you a notebook to take notes on AND either a NKJV or KJV or ESV or Holman Christian Bible if you have one. That will make more sense as we get into the study.

So let me ask you a question: Who named you? Chances are great that your parents named you. Perhaps you were named for a family member or a friend of your parents.

I was named for two men. My first and last name came from my Father who was named Ernest Easley. My middle name ''Lee'' comes from my Step-Grandfather who was like a Father to my Father and his name was Lee Walker.

I remember my Father telling me when I left for college what it meant for him to give me his name. And then he told me something that I will never forget. He said, ''Son, I've worked hard to make my name mean integrity ...
