Introduction: Last spring, Kathy was gone on a ski trip with
our
youth group as a sponsor, so I spent the weekend being Mr. Mom
with my
2 younger children, Katie and Justin. We had a great weekend.
I:
*dressed them,
*made them meals (actually just heated up the meals Kathy had
prepared in advance),
*flew their kites,
*helped them clean their rooms,
*gave them baths,
*helped them do their homework,
*prayed together with them,
*tucked them in their beds...on time!
*got them ready for church...on time!

We had a nice, quiet, orderly weekend. No disasters
occurred...And
I'm feeling good about myself. I'm thinking, "You know, I am a
super Dad.
I'm about the best Dad there is. I'm sure the best Dad these
kids have!"
Then on our way to church Sunday morning something happened that

quickly deflated my ego and brought me down out of the
ionosphere of
pride.
My little 9-year old girl asked a question that caught me by
total
surprise. In total seriousness, she looked at me with her big
brown eyes and
asked, "Daddy, how do we know Jesus is real?"
