Question:
*Have you ever been disappointed in your life?
*Have you ever been disappointed with God (Be honest)?
*Have you ever had a dream or aspiration that just didn't
materialize or
come into reality?
*Have you ever prayed for something--I mean really prayed for
it--and
nothing happened?

Ex: I remember as an 8 or 9-year old boy praying for God to let
me win the pony
that was going to be given away at the county horse show. I was
in the stands
an hour early waiting for them to announce the winning number.
I can still
remember how my heart sank when they announced the winning
number--and it
was not even close to my ticket number!

Ex: Scores of times I have had broken-hearted, disappointed
people come to me as a
pastor and ask, "Pastor, I prayed so hard and God did not
answer. Why?"
Maybe they prayed for:
*a loved one to be healed,
*a job to be saved,
*a family member to be saved.

Ex: I have had people who are diagnosed with cancer come to me
and say, "God has
told me He is going to heal me." And then I watched as the
cancer continued to
consume and ravage their bodies.
