Show Super Bowl Commercial (Carnival's Come Back to the Sea). That is a load of...error. That was the voice of President John F. Kennedy declaring evolution to be fact. Humans obviously evolved from the sea since we have the same amount of salt in us as the sea. Duh? You know what's funny? It's not even true. We do not have the same salt level as the sea. The president's speechwriter didn't have google back then. Of course, that's as blatant of humanistic, worldly thinking as you can get. All to get you to go on a cruise. Did it work?

Well, from the dawn of time, man has been trying to give adequate answers to life's most important questions. Questions like: Where did I come from? Who am I? Why am I here? Is there a God? What is the meaning of life? Where do I truly find significance and fulfillment? What's after death? Will I live forever?

These are important questions that need sound, truthful answers. And the way that most people over the centuries have tried to answer these critical questions is through something called philosophy. What you just heard in that commercial was a philosophy. The word 'philosophy' comes from Greek words 'phileo' which means to love, and 'sophia', which means wisdom. Philosophy is the love of wisdom. But not God's wisdom, but rather it's the love of man's wisdom. Here's a good definition of philosophy: It's man's solution to man's problems prescribed from man's perspective.

Now I hope, if you're a Christian, you see a problem with that. The problem is that man's problems are too deep, man's solution is too weak, and man's perspective is too limited to give ultimate answers to life's greatest questions. Philosophy just can't do it. Because it's impossible for finite beings to be the source of infinite truth.
