Open your bibles to 1 Cor. 2. Verses 1-5. Do you know anyone with a one-track mind? We all know what that is, right? A person with a one-track mind has a laser focus, maybe even an obsession, with a single topic or issue. So they filter every thought, comment, conversation, action through that one thing. And if you're around that person for any length of time eventually you know that subject will be brought up. Why? Because they can't help it. It's their passion. It's their delight. It's their joy. It's their life. It's their focus. It's always on their mind. It's what they read about, think about, dream about. And there are a million things people have one-track minds about. Sometimes people have a one-track mind about their work, or about sports, or about technology, or about sex, or about exercise, or about movies, or about God, or about cars, or about food, or about the Cardinals, or about Taco Bell. Or whatever.

When you read the bible, especially the letters of the Apostle Paul, you can't help but realize that Christians are to have one-track minds. And that track is to run right straight to and through the cross of Jesus Christ. Everything they think, everything they do, everywhere they go, everyone they meet, everything they plan needs to have the cross of Jesus Christ right at the center of it. All of us should be 'cross-eyed Christians'. Not cross-eyed in the sense they need the care of an eye doctor, but in the sense that they are so consumed with and so focused on the cross of Jesus Christ that it seems that's all their eyes really see. They are cross-eyed. Let me ask you...are you a cross-eyed Christian? Do you have a one-track mind that runs right to cliff of Calvary?
