2 Corinthians 5:14-17
Resolution is defined as a resolving to do something; a course of action determined or decided on. Revolution is defined as a sudden or momentous change in a situation; a momentous or sweeping change. The difference in appearance is small-only one letter. However, they play out differently. An investment banker and business consultant penned these words: ''The typical attitude about a resolution is, If it happens, it happens; if it doesn't, hey, I gave it a shot. With revolution, however, victory is the only conceivable outcome; failure must be painful. People often pay with their lives in revolutions.'' Think about your situation...your career status, your family or lack thereof, your hurts, your regrets, your worries, your relationships, your commitments.
Overwhelmed? Where should one begin in order to resolve to make your life better for Christ? How about trade in your resolve to do things better, for a life surrendered so you can live His life? What is His life about? A person that genuinely relinquishes his life (desires, wants, needs, priorities, thoughts, actions) to God finds that he really begins to live. As it relates to God and living: death always precedes life. Until you put to death (not temporary rest) your ways and desires, you will never know what it is like to have a fulfilling life that is just for you. You have not started to live until you have started living God's way - His ways and desires are much better than we could imagine!
''Only excessive force-a revolution-will create the massive upheaval needed to knock you out of your inertia, your rut. The question is, Are you willing to apply that force, to pay that price, to get what you really need and/or want?'' REAT TEXT
