SERMON #9 "A NEW ABUNDANCE"
COLOSSIANS 2:9-12

Introduction: I am greatly concerned with the false teaching
that is
so rampant today which says in essence that you begin with
Christ in the
Christian life - but then you must graduate on to something
else. The
question I would like to ask these people is this - "What more
or better
thing could you possibly hope to graduate to beyond Jesus
Christ?"
Jesus Is The Zenith
Jesus Is The Pinnacle
Jesus Is The Top
Jesus Is The Highest
Jesus Is The Uttermost
Jesus Is The Best
Anything or anyone else has to be subordinate to Jesus.
Anything or anyone else is a step down from Jesus.
Jesus is: The First, The Last
Alpha, The Omega
Beginning, The Ending
Author And Finisher Of Our Faith

The ultimate goal of believers must not be to constantly desire
something more beyond Christ ...but to be discovering the
sufficiency we
already possess in Christ.

We have been studying the book of Colossians. The book was
written
to tell us that the only way our lives can be complete and full
is for us to be
in Christ and Christ in us. He alone is what makes life
complete and full.
