Have you ever known anyone who always had to have what they want? They want the best seat in the house, they want to be first in line, they want to get the last Krispy Kreme doughnut? Their philosophy is, ''It's all about me! I'm looking out for number one!'' If you don't know any of these people then you probably are this person! You know what I want to tell people like that...get over yourself! They have this idea that life is all about them and everyone should serve them. Well, that's definitely not a Godly attitude.

Acts 3:1-10 shows us a story about two men who realized that life was not about them, but it was about God. READ TEXT When you get over yourself and realize it's all about God, there are three changes that occur in your life.

A completely new view of life: 1-6

They saw others around them in need

*There are two kinds of walkers in this world. There are people who are casual walkers, and there are people who walk with purpose. I walk with purpose!*

They were on their way to the temple. They were in the middle of their daily routine. They had time to meet someone in need.

They saw a deeper need than others could see

*Do you remember the pictures with the hidden picture inside? I hated those things! I could never really see what everyone else said they could see. It was so frustrating to me!*

They ''directed their gaze on him''- 4 Most people wouldn't even care. Some might give him money. Some might show him pity. Some might buy him breakfast. Some might take him to a shelter. But Peter and John saw a deeper need.

Do we see the deeper needs of those around us?
