13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 ''Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'' NKJV

As we stated last week there are many miracles associated with the birth of Jesus. While the Virgin Birth is the most indispensable miracle related to the Christmas story the gift of peace is probably the Christmas miracle we most need and crave for everyday life.

Ask just about anyone what they need in their lives more than anything else and they'll say peace. We live in a world that destroys our peace and God understands this. That Jesus came to bring peace to a lost and desperate world is surely one of the greatest miracles of Christmas.

Christmas Changes

An anonymous author wrote: ''To avoid offending anybody, my son's school dropped religion altogether and started singing about the weather. They now hold the winter program in February and sing increasingly non-memorable songs such as ''Winter Wonderland,'' ''Frosty the Snowman'' and - this is a real song - ''Suzy Snowflake,'' all of which is pretty funny because we live in Miami. A visitor from another planet would assume that the children belonged to the Church of Meteorology.'' 

1. JESUS CAME TO BRING US THE PEACE OF HIS PROTECTION (ETERNAL SECURITY)

John 10:27-30
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.
30 I and My Father are one.''
