Question: Is Christ enough? That was the question false teachers

posed to the infant church in Colossae nearly 2,000 years ago.
And their
subtle suggestion was that Christ was not enough. They tried to
persuade
these young Christians into thinking they needed something more
than
Jesus Christ. They needed Christ plus:
1.an emotional experience
2.secret rites and rituals
3.knowledge of religious mysteries

Note: Any movement that keeps its rites, rituals, and teachings
a secret is
not of God. It is of Satan:
*Ex: The occult
* Eastern mysticisms
* Masonry

God is in the business of revealing Himself, and His truth--not
concealing it!

I see elements of the very same heresy which threatened the
Colossian
Christians, threatening Christians once again today:
Ex:1.The Charismatic tells you Christ is not enough, you also
need:
*to speak in tongues
*new revelations and visions
*slaying in the spirit
*supernatural phenomenon around you all the time

2.The Deeper Life Movement which tells you that you need a
"deeper knowledge" of the secrets of God. And they make
